Senti Greetings!!!

Tis the Season to be jolly! Well, we will try.. no Kiah means that we are just the three..well four really with Scooby, but it is really hard without your loved one around during the holidays. I think about all the soldiers that we have lost and how their families must be feeling today. It has to be hard and I hope that you keep our soldiers and their families, in your hearts. a simple toast in their honor would be a very kind gesture! This year I tried to make my own cards. I actually made about 25 of the 75 I needed to mail. So, now I have to figure out what 25 are the most significant. Actually.. the 25 will go to those who are not a facebook friend or who do not have an email account! YES, I do have family that does not email... They actually came out pretty nice and Michela and I had fun making them. Perhaps next year I will start in Feb and do 10 a month! That will ensure all cards get out before DEC! So I have continued to exercise a bit. After completing the hike up Pikes Peak I hiked a few more times to keep the motivation up, got lost a few times with my friend Britin and well, then the coldness settled in. I am not really a fan of coldness. Colorado has good coldness, not like say Michigan or Alaska coldness... the sun comes out most days and warms you up good and toasty. Provided of course you aren't dealing with the wind. So, most days I get on the elliptical or just do a jog around the neighborhood...or nothing..maybe sit ups while watching TV. Britin tells me, and so do all the weight loss books that if you eat an extra cookie you have to do an extra 15 minutes of exercise. ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? One freakin' cookie = 15 minutes of exercise? I would rather have a glass of wine! The wine I tried this month is call PURE RED. It is actually an organic red wine from Badger Mountain in Washington State. I was a bit concerned because it was BOX wine AND a domestic! Yes... you read correctly. However... it was actually good. I say WAS because it is mostly gone. I will admit that the 3L has not been completely emptied, while I have been giving it the 'ole college try... I am simply not that much of a lush. Missy is in Cubero now for the holidays, so my drinking buddy consists of me, myself and I. Sad..but the three of us don't really drink much and I didn't want to increase my drinking during the holidays. Just in case I was seen as an alcoholic. Well, if you want to try a box wine, I would recommend this one. I have had it with Mikes turkey dinner..yum, with pasta, burgers, salad, and my favorite.. a glass with ice cubes. It has a slightly bitter taste on the finish, but I have never had an organic wine before so I don't know if that is normal or not! Will have to try more! Well, I hope that your holiday season is a great one. I miss the fun of friends that have become family... but the great thing is.. you always keep my glass half full! Merry Christmas!
