The only silver lining on this weekend's football games were the Steeler's win and the Cowboy's loss. The games were seriously down hill from there.
Both the Viking's and the Bronco's had very disappointing losses. Well, you know when your favorite teams lose, it is always disappointing. The kids and I are always excited when we can sit down and watch a game together. Something that I have done since I was a child with my Dad. Football, whether I understand the rules and regulations or not, is a part of my heritage. As blue as my, ahem, blood!
I loved the Steeler's colors, an important part of choosing a team is the visual appeal. The Cowboys are from TX and are therefore, subject to the state of NM's disapproval! Plus their colors are not visually appealing!
So, the Viking's (purple) lost, Adrian Peterson (Kiah met his wife last season at a Cowboys game in Dallas and let her use his cell phone) is an amazing player! Okay, I will be real, he does his purple uniform justice. I always thought as a child that the reason a tight end was a TE was because they had specific requirements for players to look good in those really tight pants! TE's are awesome! However, Peterson is a RB. Meaning this guy is given the ball by the QB and he runs as fast and hard as he can towards the end zone! He is an amazing player. Even with the loss the Viking's suffered, he is still my pick for player of the game, or player of the week.
Who else do I like? Well, my players have different qualifications for wonderfulness. They should: look exceptional in uniform, have an incredible um, TE, and should play really well. Okay so maybe they should look pleasant out of their helmet as well. (Forrest is dancing and it is OH so slightly distressing!) The Vikings biggest problem? I don't know, they all have a pleasant appearance, perhaps they just need to work on their defense!
The Bronco's, (orange) in my opinion, have been lucky so far this season! The 4-3 season is
merely luck. Their defense is weak and needs serious work. Okay yeah, they have a few players that meet the criteria for wonderfulness, however, not as much as the Viking's! Long shaggy hair and craziness is not in the top 10 of things I want to watch on the 50 Yard line!
Okay, I admit I am not a sports commentator, I don't pay any attention to stats, I don't really care. I care, as most fans do, about the W/L column. Right now... the L columns are mounting and are killing my will to live! Not really, but if either the Vikings or the Broncos need a Defensive Coordinator... um, I am available!

Maybe if the Broncos and the Vikings had Adam Sandler as their water boy, they would make an awesome super bowl opportunity( i've got my eyes on Super L)
Adam Sandler couldn't help either team because the Black and Gold are going to win...muahahahahah.
Go Steelers...Go Steelers...Go Steelers...
no shame in the vikings losing to a superior team from a certain town on a certain lake in the middle of the country.

Ernie, I knew you would comment, I intentionally left the BEARS out of my blog! Not because I am bitter or anything, but I am guessing you are making dinner all week! :)
