Love doesn't make the world go 'round. Love is what makes the ride worthwhile. - Franklin P. Jones

Humility and Patience! These are two words that should be on the front burners of everyone's characteristics. Without these how can we survive in today's world? I was trying to take a nap today, Hey.. I don't have a job.. can't sleep at night.. so why not nap! Well, if I can't sleep at night, why would I think I could sleep during the day... yeah.. didn't work..so I was thinking about why! Could be that yesterday we hit a WALL in our house. Not literally.. but, Forrest is sorta being lazy at school. Amazing how one person effects the entire household. I mean, if Scooby had a drippy nose, it would effect the household, but this was a little more severe. It caused the whole balance of our peaceful existence to shift! WHY? Well, I guess that it means that we, (hey I am NOT taking this on by myself, Kiah has to accept some of the guilt too... the whole Catholic guilt thing can only take me so far!) as parents have failed our child. NO, he didn't get someone pregnant or rob a bank, (although a few million passed our way wouldn't be turned down)! He just has a bad grade. JUST! This is where the humility and patience comes in. Once in a while I like to watch cop shows. you know the whole good vs bad cop when they interview the bad guy! Finally I get to be the good cop! Today is a little better than yesterday. Yesterday was HEll! seriously! WEll, I guess we have learned that no matter what we provide our children with, ultimately it is their choice to study, or not to. The best thing that we can do, is to allow our children to understand that every choice has a consequence. Oh and there is almost always a high price to pay for those choices! Consequences can be tough! So with love, patience and humility, we as parents, tell our wonderful son, that we love him and expect so much more from him. Plus.. he gets the thrill of knowing that I posted the fact that he has a bad grade on my blog. That surely would humble me into studying!

Some day you will look back and wish it were only a grade that upset you! The kids will get older, as well as their [your] problems. My vino of choice: "Patience" - been drinking it for years! xoxoxoxo

Tell him to quit being lazy or he'll end up like his uncles. that always worked for us :)
